Start communicating with AsterDesk Messenger
Build a communication flow that fits your task across messaging, one-to-one voice and video calls.

Start with the purpose
A written message is often a useful starting point for a quick update. State your question clearly, add relevant context and give the other person time to respond. AsterDesk Messenger provides instant messaging between users in the Windows application. You can move to a one-to-one voice or video call when a topic needs a more detailed discussion.
Moving into a call
Open the relevant conversation in the application and use its voice or video call control. Check that the other person is available. Test your microphone and, if using video, your camera. Menu names and control positions can change between versions; follow the flow shown in your application. Messenger serves one-to-one communication; use the meeting area when you want to bring a group together.
Useful communication habits
Keep each message focused on a clear topic. Leave passwords, access keys and unnecessary personal information out of conversations. When a support issue needs follow-up, create a support request from your web account to track its status and response. This article describes the existing messaging, voice and video features; it does not promise unverified features such as file transfer or meeting recording.
